You have been exposed to this thing called ‘MEDITATION’. It’s the trend these days. Celebrities are recommending it, business people swear by it, artists keep praising it and politicians claim to be doing it (I doubt if politicians ever tried meditation after looking at the current state of the world).
The internet is overloaded with articles and videos about how to meditate, where to meditate, what to wear while meditating, what to eat before and/or after meditating and so on. These days it’s difficult not to come across meditation related information while scrolling through social media.
In short, meditation is everywhere.
So you decide to try it out for yourself. You want to know what all this hype is about. Like any normal person, you go to Google and type ‘How to meditate for 30 days’ and off you go into the rabbit hole of information related to meditation. You manage to gather few meditation videos online and decide that you will also start practicing. After all, every influential person is saying that the secret to their success is meditation. You trust their words and start your meditation journey.
30 day Meditation Journey starts

Day 1 starts – You are excited and click on a random video about meditation which is 1 hour long. You sit with your eyes closed and legs crossed (your instructor told you to do so). You don’t remember the last time you sat cross legged (maybe during childhood) but you do it anyway. The meditation instructor is asking you to visualize a white stream of light entering your body from your head. You follow all the instructions like an obedient student.
After keeping your eyes closed for what seems like a millennia, you open your eyes to check the time on your phone. You are sad to discover that only 3 mins have passed since you started the meditation.
57 minutes more to go (You are already irritated by this fact but you decide to keep meditating).
Few minutes into the meditation, your body starts itching. You scratch it and relieve yourself but you missed the next set of instructions. You discover that you can’t sit still but try focusing anyway. Out of nowhere, you start feeling hungry and think about what you will be having for dinner. Your mind reminds you about that restaurant you visited last week with your colleagues. You think to yourself “Maybe I should order food online if they have a branch nearby”. You wanted to take your best friend to that restaurant but it’s been a long time since you met them. Now you start missing your friend and decide that you’ll call them to check how they are doing. The last time you met your friend was at a theatre to watch a famous superhero movie which was below average but the ticket prices were high. That reminds you to start saving money as you have had a lot of expenses in the past few months. You tell yourself that it’s the right time to change your job as a salary raise is necessary for you to cover the ever increasing expenses in these times of inflation. You worry about the fact that food, rent, travel, heath care and a quality education has become costly these days. You get agitated about the fact that the government of your country is cruel towards it’s own citizen. You swear that you will not vote for the ruling party in the next elections. All this while you have completely forgotten about the meditation that you were doing.
You finally get restless and open your eyes only to realize that your mind wandered during the meditation. Day 1 turned out to be a failure but you promise yourself that you will start practicing diligently from the next day as you are bored to continue practicing today. This pattern repeats for a few more days until you loose interest in meditation and stop forever.
Have you ever experienced this? I have. You might be surprised to know that even seasoned practitioners of meditation complain that their mind gets bombarded with thoughts which they never get during other time of the day. It’s seems as if our mind is programmed against meditation. Some instructors say that it’s very important to be in the present moment while meditating but you have observed that no matter how hard you try, your precious attention keeps oscillating between the present, past and future only for you to give up eventually. Meditation doesn’t have to be this tedious.
Do you really want to start meditating but unable to do so?
Do you believe that meditation is not your cup of tea and reserved for a few gifted individuals who have a natural ability to concentrate?
Have you resigned to believe that meditation is tough and not for you?
Are you someone who has been meditating for a long time but you don’t see any progress?
If the answer to the above questions is a resounding ‘YES’, then I would like to inform you that there is hope for you.
Let me introduce you to a technique that is so effortless yet effective that the results will surprise you.
